K.G.F: Chapter 1 is a 2018 Indian hindi urdu and Kannada-language action film
directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur
under the banner Hombale Films. The film stars Yash, Srinidhi
Shetty, Ramachandra Raju, and Anant Nag in lead roles.
The film's story is set in the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) of Karnataka,
India, in the 1970s. It follows the life of Rocky, an orphan who rises
to become the kingpin of the KGF.

The film was a critical and commercial success, worldwide. It was the highest-grossing Kannada
film of all time until it was surpassed by K.G.F: Chapter 2 in 2022. The
film was praised for its action sequences, Yash's performance, and Neel's
direction. It was also nominated
for several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada.
